Faroe Islands & Iceland Retreat with Reclaim Yourself & Zephyr Wildman

23 June 3 July

£3,250 – £4,250

Epic Yoga Adventures in the Nordic Wilderness

Join Reclaim Yourself Retreats pioneering 10 day Nordic adventure with yoga teacher Zephyr Wildman in remote Faroe Islands and wild Iceland. First we explore the isolated Faroese archipelago, known for its tiny islands with dramatic landscapes, wild coastlines and puffin colonies. Then we take the ferry to a beautiful town in the eastern Icelandic fjords for a long weekend under the midnight sun, exploring the geothermal wilderness, whale watching and visiting 3 epic thermal baths.

In the Faroe Islands, our retreat base is a hotel set in a quiet valley just outside of Tórshavn. Each day we will embark an adventure together, driving to different islands to hike up mountains to enjoy fantastic views of beautiful fjords and dramatic coastlines. You’ll start your days with dynamic flow yoga class with Zephyr to awaken your mind and body. Your evening practice will yin and restorative yoga, meditation and deep relaxation to help you unwind and settle after your days out in the wilderness.

Our hikes will include Villingadalsfjall, a four hour adventure up the highest mountain on Viðoy island and Hvíthamar, a shorter hike on Eysturoy island where you will get an epic view of Funningsfjørður, one of the most beloved fjords in the Faroe Islands. We will also take the ferry to Kalsoy and hike to Kallur, the iconic lighthouse.

You’ll have time to explore Tórshavn, one of Europe’s smallest capital cities with its colour harbour and quaint cobbled alleyways lined with turf roof houses. Then we take the night ferry all the way to East Iceland, arriving early morning into the picturesque fjord town of Seyðisfjörður.

We’ll start our day with a breakfast and a soak in our favourite thermal pools in Iceland, Vök baths, where the hot pools float in a beautiful Arctic lake. Then we head north, to stay in a peaceful fisherman’s house with panoramic ocean views, perfect for enjoying the spectacular mid-summer skies.

We will spend an afternoon whale watching and puffin spotting, followed by dinner at Húsavík harbour and an evening soak in thermal pools overlooking the Skjálfandi Bay. A trip to this part of Iceland would not be complete without a day out in the Lake Mývatn geothermal region, where all that makes Iceland so unique can be experienced within a few hours, from powerful waterfalls, volcanoes, geothermal activity and a nature spa.

Your retreat accommodation

We have 12 places on this retreat. In the Faroe Islands, we will be staying at a stylish hotel tucked away in a valley, overlooking Tórshavn and the surrounding landscape.
